PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical element using a UV-curing type polymerizable composition which has a relatively low viscosity, facilitates operations such as blending and dripping, suffers no oxygen obstruction in polymerization, curable in air and does not require different polymerization initiators on both faces of a lens. SOLUTION: A UV-curing resin layer of a polymerizable composition containing at least one diallyl phthalate component, pentaerythritol tetra (3- mercaptopropionate) and a photopolymerization initiator is disposed on both faces of a lens. The equivalent ratio of the diallyl phthalate component to the pentaerythritol tetra (3-mercaptopropionate) is preferably 2:1 to 1:3.
