METALLIC MIRROR AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a metallic mirror which is called a magic mirror having uniform stable quality without particularly requiring skillfulness of a worker, to enable the mechanization of all steps of production and to make the mirror suitable even for mass production. SOLUTION: One face of a metallic mirror 1 is used as a mirror plane 12 and the other face 10 to be worked is masked 2 by coating with a resin while leaving a letter pattern 110. The surface of the letter pattern 110 is sandblasted with a blast nozzle 3. The part of the letter pattern 110 is made matte and expands toward the blasted surface. The mirror plane 13 over a part corresponding to the letter pattern 110 is pulled and a concave part 13 is formed on the mirror plane 12 side. The mask 2 is then removed.
