PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a ball-like valve element from being damaged by a spring and use the valve without leakage of a liquid over a long period of time by pressing a ball-like valve element to the inner surface of a recessed part of a valve element pressing member, and pushing the valve element pressing member by a spring so that the ball-like valve element abuts on a valve seat. SOLUTION: A recessed part 119 opened to the left is formed in a float box 80 in a casing 118 having an inlet 116 and an outlet 117 of a relief valve 115, and the left opening is closed by a closing member 121. A ball-like valve element 122 is stored in a cylindrical part 121 of the closing member 121, and it abuts on a valve seat 123. The ball-like valve element 122 is fitted in a recessed part 125 of a valve pressing member 124 stored in the cylindrical part 121a, and brought into line contact with the inner peripheral surface like a circle. The valve pressing member 124 is a spring 126, thereby energizing the ball-like valve element 122 in the direction of being pressed to the valve seat 123. Thus, the ball-like valve element 122 can be prevented from being damaged by the end of the spring 126.
