Antibodies to the ED-B domain of fibronectin (FN), their construction and uses

A process for the production of a specific binding member which is specific for and binds directly to the ED-B (foetal isoform of fibronectin) oncofoetal domain of fibronectin (FN) the process comprising i) expressing a library of molecules, which library includes specific binding members; and ii) isolating the specific binding member from the library. Once the peptide is screened for host bacterial cells are infected with positive clones, then subject the phage clones to a process of affinity maturation, repeat the steps above to select positive phage clones with improved affinity for antigen and infecting host cells with positive clones and purifying antibody molecules from the host cells.
