<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mouse which does not cause a click sound and is silent by using a visible light conductive element for a click signal generation part. SOLUTION: The internal structure of the personal computer input device has a ball located in the center and transmits movement of the ball to an X direction disk and a Y direction disk. Holes are opened on this disk with equal intervals between them, a light emission element and a light reception element are located in proximity to these holes, the movement in the XY directions by ball rotation is taken out as a signal. A visible light conductive element 2 is located downward of the hole, the conductive element 2 senses a light in a normal state, but it cannot temporarily sense the light by covering the hole with a finger and a signal at this time is transmitted as a click signal. A signal generated by turning on and off of the light to the visible light conductive element 2 is amplified by an operation amplifier 3, converts a DC voltage into a digital signal by a hysteresis converter 4 and is transmitted to a data conversion circuit 6 by a driver 5.</p> |
