摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of a glass enclosure which enables lower- temperature of shorter-time getter activation by making smaller the damage that a non-vaporizable type getter has at the time of sealing and which preferably allows a vacuum baking process, essential for a manufacturing process for a glass enclosure wherein a vacuum is maintained inside, to serve also as a getter activating process. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the glass enclosure, which is formed by sealing glass members by using sealing material 104a and 104b and has the non-vaporizable getter 112 inside, has a sealing process for the glass enclosure wherein the non-vaporizable type getter arrangement area is heated at temperature below the sealing temperature of the sealing part and the sealing part is heated locally at the sealing temperature, and also the getter activating process wherein the non-vaporizable type getter 12 is heated under a vacuum at temperature higher than the heating temperature at the time of the sealing of the getter arrangement area.
