VIRTUAL SUBSCRIBER UNIT TESTING WIRELESS NETWORK AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THEREOF.

PURPOSE: A virtual subscriber unit can be embodied in more than one BTS(Base Transceiver Stations) to test the operation of a wireless network. CONSTITUTION: A BTS(Base Transceiver Station) for wireless network can communicate with a mobile station(111-114) located in a service audible region of the wireless network(100). The BTS comprises: an RF(Radio Frequency) transceiver unit transmitting a signal of a forward channel to the mobile station and receiving a signal of a reverse channel from the mobile station; and a test controller which is connected to the RF transceiver unit and makes the RF transceiver unit transmit a test signal of a reverse channel to a remote base transceiver station of the wireless network. The test signal emulates the mobile station as to the remote base transceiver station. The test controller acts as a virtual subscriber unit emulating an aspect of the mobile station and testing the function of the network including other base transceiver station.
