The harvested crop in the harvester (1) container (8) once compressed at high pressure and settled is picked up by a transport vehicle and hauled to and tipped out at storage site. Otherwise, the crop is emptied into a wagon for silo storage or again tipped for metered emptying. The crop is fed in below the harvester container (8) by screw conveyors (12) and there pressed up into the container by tined rotor, stripper and channel (15,16), and so into the front and rear halves of the container, using interposed feed screws (13,14). At the dump site etc the crop is raised by tipping the container which, once emptied, is then moved to the side of the wagon.
