PURPOSE: A strapping apparatus is provided to have a functional reliability as much as it is light. CONSTITUTION: A strapping apparatus is comprised of a handle lever(9) installed on a housing, a rotary spindle(10), a first pivot arm(13), a control plate(14), a slot type link(17) and a rotary spindle(16) of a second pivot arm(15). Herein, since a catch lever(59) is connected to the rotary spindle with a rotation fixing method, the movement of the catch lever leads the dropping of a locking plate in a direction of a base plate so that a rewinding lock fixes a band. In addition, the locking plate is aligned in parallel on the slant face of the base plate surface from a first contact with the band because of the connection of the locking plate so that the band is quickly fixed.
