The invention concerns a reception device using at least two reception channels supplied by data streams each conveying the same source symbol, eac h of said channels comprising estimating means, associating with each received source symbol an estimated channel value and a corresponding channel confidence information, and comprising means for combining said channel estimated values into an adapted estimated value, said combination taking in to account said channel confidence data to weight said channel estimated values . Said estimating means advantageously include transmission channel estimating means, delivering said channel confidence data.
