The powered roller has a rotating mantle (1), with the ends rotating on journals (3) mounted to the roller pedestal (2). At least one journal (3) is hollow, to contain a closed drive unit (4), with a drive shaft (5) coupled to the roller mantle (1). The drive (4) is an electromotor, connected to the appropriate roller journal (3). The pedestal (2) has an opening (6), near the roller journal (3), for the assembly and dismantling of the drive (4). The roller mantle (1) has a support ring (7) at the drive shaft (5), mounted to the roller journal (3) and/or coupled to the drive shaft (5). The coupling is a cogwheel (8), which follows the movement of the drive shaft (5) and its teeth mesh with the teeth of the support ring (7). The roller mantle (1) is sealed against the journal (3), at the end with the drive (4), where the sealing ring (9) and the support ring (7) form a ring chamber (10) between them, which is connected to a vacuum. The roller mantle (1) has perforations, at least at the ring chamber (10) zone, to hold the web (12) against its outer surface by suction. The drive motor (4) has at least one stabilizing sliding ring (11), preferably at the axially center zone for the assembly/dismantling within the journal (3). |
