PURPOSE: A device is provided to accept and keep a tongue of a belt assembly in a carrier for an infant with a safe and convenient method. CONSTITUTION: A new buckle latch device(10) for accepting and keeping a tongue of a belt assembly in a carrier for an infant includes a steel frame(18), and the frame has an upper surface(20) for accepting an infant and a base part(24) having a parallel side wall(28) and a head part. Herein, the steel plastic latch including a slot(42) formed on the frame around the base part is installed on the front frame of the slot and has an operator for controlling the upper range(50) of the upper part of the frame capable of moving between the locked direction and the unlocked direction placed in front of the slot. When it is operated, the plastic latch part is projected upward through a shell and is reacted by a button, directly placed in front of the tongue slot. If a user gives force on a release button, a spring is pressurized, and the free end of the tongue is slid.
