DEVICE FOR COATING BAND WITH METAL BY ELECTRICALLY GILDING

PURPOSE: A device is provided to prevent anode strips from corroding when coating a band passing through an acid electrolyte with metal by electrically gilding. CONSTITUTION: A device is composed of plural anode strips(5a,5b) arranged over and under a band(2). The plural anode strips are separated in a direction of facing the band by protruded insulating strips(6a,6b) on the upper surface of the anode strips. The anode strips are connected to each switch having a rectifier supplying current to the anode strips from an electrolyte(1). Protecting current is supplied by resistances, and the resistances protect the strips from corroding by connecting in series.
