PURPOSE: A process of heat sterilization of soil for eradicating the pathogenic bacteria in soil effectively is provided which avoids the sterilization of soil by chemicals absolutely and is useful counter measures for environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: A process of heat sterilization of soil comprises (a)laying a plural of pipes(3) under the ground at a depth of from 40 to 80 cm under the earth's surface in a plastic film green house(2), passing warm water or warm liquid at a temperature of above 70°C through the pipes to warm soil(4) and raising the temperature of the soil by a combination use of solar heat and an underground system. The process can raise effectively the temperature of soil at a depth of from 60 cm under the earth's surface to 45°C and absolutely heat-sterilize soil less than 60 cm under the earth's surface.
