PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the work at the burying site in a simple work without requiring the preliminary attachment of an adhesive layer, the formation of a mold form, a heating process and the like, and to apply a stable protective cover to a protective layer using a thermal contractable tube excellent in resistance without causing a damage. SOLUTION: This protective structure is buried and laid in order, by a propelling process by providing a protective layer 2 of a thermal contractible tube to the coupling of a connecting pipe, while welding and connecting a pipe 1 made by providing a polyolefinic corrosion-protective layer 13 on the outer periphery except for a coupling 11. In this case, a cover layer 3 made by cold caking of a cold setting epoxy resin composition impregnated to a deformable base material is provided on the protective layer. As a result, this protective structure can cope easily with a different diameter structure of the winding system of a base material or the coating and impregnating method of a cover material, and can be simply performed under a normal temperature condition.
