PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine having possibility of denying the second law of the thermodynamics by taking out the power from operating fluid expanded/ contracted by diurnal range of atmosphere. SOLUTION: An outer shell 1 of a tank is made of a metal of small specific heat and a heat radiating board 2 is used for collecting heat in temperature rise. Fluid having small specific heat and a large heat expansion coefficient is used as operating fluid 3. A safety device 4 is left open in installation and in emergency, the device is stopped by opening it. Gears and a power transmission device 7 change the linear movement of a piston 6 into a quicker rotation movement by combining a plate gear with a wheel set type gear. Before sunrise, the operating fluid 3 in a tank is contracted because of the low temperature so that the piston 6 in the cylinder 5 is drawn near to the tank side by the atmospheric pressure. At dawn and the sunshine, the temperature is raised, the operating fluid 3 in the tank is heated and expanded, the piston 6 is moved, and the power is transmitted from the plate gear to the wheel set type gear. After that, the operating fluid is started to be contracted by the lowering of the temperature so that the piston 6 and the gears 7 are moved inversely.
