PURPOSE: A composition about a catalyst storing nitric oxide is provided to produce a storing catalyst having high density by inducing a storing compound into the catalyst in a solid powder shape of which the diameter of particles is big and mutual reacting surface area is narrow. CONSTITUTION: A nitric oxide storing catalyst is differential barium sulfate or strontium sulfate of which an average particle size is less than 1 micrometer, sulfate mixture, mixture crystal, an incomplete or a complete analysis product. The barium sulfate and the strontium sulfate(5) are analyzed into a compound storing nitric oxide by a reduction ventilating gas composition so that an activate storing ingredient is little compensated or analyzed the barium sulfate and the strontium sulfate during changing to the compound. And the sulfide is used as a subsidiary agent for inducing high concentrated storing compound.
