<p>A personal computer which is a controller transmits a Reserve request for reserving a remote control. An MD recorder/player which is a target prohibits remote controls from other controllers as an evidence of a reserving mode to be set in response to the reception of the request and also prohibits the key operations, except for replaying, stopping and ejecting, of local keys, whereby an operation control such as updating TOC information of an MD recorder/player is permitted only by the personal computer to thereby avoid mismatching of TOC information between the personal computer and the MD recorder/player that might be generated by other controllers and local key operations.</p> |
