The invention relates to a method for adjusting several optical units of a vehicle, especially rear-view mirrors and indicating instruments. Said method comprises determining the angular position of a first optical unit (7) and, based on the angular position of said optical unit, automatically adjusting the angular position of at least one second optical unit (3; 9) relatively to a viewing position so that information provided by said first optical unit (7) and said second optical unit (3; 9) can be recognised from the viewing position, without any displacement of said viewing position. The invention also relates to a device for implementing said method.
