PURPOSE: A method for warning a weak signal of an external signal in connecting an external device is provided to process of a muting sounds and blocking screen when the external signal is not existed, in converting connection mode with an external video device. CONSTITUTION: A TV set has a connection terminal with an external image processor, and has a TV broadcasting receiving mode and a video receiving mode of the external video processor. A method for warning a weak signal of an outer signal when connecting an external device comprises the steps of: deciding whether a synchronization signal exists in a signal, entered through the connection terminal when an input mode of an external video signal is selected by a user; muting sounds after deciding the synchronization signal does not exist, and displaying a blanking signal on a whole region of a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) screen through an OSD(On Screen Display) generator. |
