摘要 PURPOSE: An electro-optical device, a driving substrate for electro optical device and a method for manufacturing thereof are provided to realize a high quality screen, narrow frame edge, high efficiency, and a display panel of large screen by enabling an integrate formation with display unit and circumference driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: A display unit having a pixel electrode and circumference driving circuit are installed in a first substrate. A predetermined electro-optical material is put between the first substrate and a second substrate. A gate unit made of gate electrode and insulating film is formed on one surface of the first substrate. A division difference is formed on the one surface of the first substrate. A single-crystal silicon layer is formed on the first substrate including the division difference and the gate unit. A dual gate type first TFT having the single-crystal silicon layer as a channel region, a source region and a drain region, and having the gate unit on an upper and lower part of the channel region, composes a minimal part of the circumference driving circuit.
