PURPOSE: An automatic sound control apparatus for a multi channel-sound television is provided to lower levels of sound signals of a main sound carrier or a sub sounds carrier having same tones, by comparing output sounds of the main sound carrier with the sub sounds in multi channel-sound broadcasting, to output original sounds and background sounds from one channel, and to output higher sounds than the original and lower background sounds from another channel, by highly adjusting intensity of different sound signals. CONSTITUTION: An automatic sound control apparatus for multi channel-sound television having an audio processor capable of outputting main sounds and sub sounds by receiving output signals from a main sound unit and a sub sound unit comprises a memory device(160), a comparison detector(170), a micom(180), and an equalizer(190). The memory device temporarily stores main/sub sound signals outputted from the main sound unit and the sub sound unit. The comparison detector compares the main sound signals with the sub sound signals, and detects sound signals which unify the main sound signals with the sub sound signals, and sound signals which differentiate the main sound signals from the sub sound signals. An output terminal of the equalizer is connected to an output terminal of the sub sound outputter, and an input terminal thereof is connected to the micom. An outputter is connected to an output terminal of a sub sound outputter, and an inputter has the equalizer. The micom makes the equalizer adjust sounds of the sub sound signals by applying control signals with the equalizer, by receiving signals from the comparison unit.
