PURPOSE: A device for treating a substance material is provided to improve the quality of the surface by a continuously treating work, to increase the amount of production of a plant and to decrease working labor. CONSTITUTION: A substance material(2) like an escalator step is electric current-treated by an anodizing device(7). A carrying device(4) for transporting a carrier(3) is dropped toward the upper side of a tank, then is deposited within a deposition tub(16) and is lifted up out of the deposition tub at the end of the tank after a certain time passes. Herein, a current supplying unit(17) like a bus bar is arranged in a tank area and is elongated in parallel with the movement route of the carrying device, and a current take-off for connecting the current supplying unit with the carrier is supplied to each carrier, having a wiper or a roller contact part. This connection is formed when the carrier is dropped while it is blocked when the carrier is raised.
