PURPOSE: A method for simulating a connection management is provided to effectively develop a Telecommunication Management Network(TMN) agent by testing the TMN agent regardless of the state of an ATM switching system. CONSTITUTION: A simulator(23) of connection management receives(S31) the command of connection management for forming a response message(S32) to transfer to a TMN manager(21) through a TMN agent(22). If the state is presumed to be normal, the simulator forms(S33) the response message of normal state for transferring(S34) to the TMN manager. If the state is presumed to be abnormal, the simulator of connection management receives(S35) required error code of abnormal state for forming a response message of abnormal state(S38). Then, the message is transferred to the TMN agent and to the TMN manager(S39).
