PURPOSE: A TV system for observing a present position of a moving object is provided to observe a present position of the moving object through a TV without moving the position by using a GPS(Global Positioning System). CONSTITUTION: A TV system for observing a present position of a moving object comprises a GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver(10), a satellite(15), and a TV receiver(20). The GPS receiver is attached on a moving object and informs a present position of the object. The satellite measures the present position of the object in real time through communication with the GPS receiver. The TV receiver receives a signal from the satellite, reads the measured present position of the object, and shows the position on a TV screen. The TV receiver comprises a map memory, a position reader, a micom, and a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube). The map memory previously stores maps of certain areas. The position reader reads the present position of the moving object by receiving the signal from the satellite. The micom reads a map of a corresponding area which corresponds to the read position, and overlays the read position on the map. The CRT shows the overlaid map on the TV screen.
