PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand sail capable of sailing by using a slider. SOLUTION: The frame pipe 2 of this sail 1 is provided with a handle 3 holdable with hands and a sail cloth is formed into a wing shape by battens 4. In order to sail from an upwind side to a downwind side, by horizontally holding the hand sail 1, turning a front edge part downwards and attaining a maximum resistance value, it is utilized as a following wind and sailing to the downwind side is performed. In order to cutting up to the upwind side, by erecting either left or right end in a vertical direction to a ground surface with the limit of about 45 degrees to the left and right from the upwind side and repeating oblique advancing to the left and right by utilizing lifting power generated on a wing shape upper surface similarly to the sailing principle of a yacht, sailing to the upwind side is performed.
