PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To travel a transportation vehicle without causing the breakage of a rope, uncontrolled running of the transportation vehicle, and derailment, when the transportation vehicle is traveled along an uneven roadway while being pulled by the rope. SOLUTION: The ropes 4a, 4b extending from hoist 2a, 2b installed on both ends of a roadway 1 are tied to the before and behind of a transportation vehicle 5, and the rope 4a on the one side is wound up while pulling the transportation vehicle 5, and the rope 4b on the other side is reeled out to travel the vehicle. At that time, the tension of the hoist 2a on the winding-up side of the hoist 2a is controlled, and the speed of the hoist 2b on the reel out side is controlled, so that the transportation vehicle 5 is safely and securely traveled without applying an abnormal tension and slackness to the ropes 4a, 4b.
