PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance absorbency of an ink used for a stamp and having water resistance by forming a water resistant protective layer containing an acrylic resin and a colloidal silica, and preferably forming it on an uppermost surface of a photofixable thermal recording medium. SOLUTION: The water resistant protective layer contains an acrylic resin and a colloidal silica, and is formed by using a coating liquid obtained by mixing, for example, an acrylic emulsion and an aqueous dispersion of the silica in the presence of a crosslinking agent. When the coating liquid contains 30 to 60 wt.% of the silica, absorbency of the ink used for a stamp is improved, film formability is good, and a uniform film is obtained. Further, when the liquid contains 50 to 60 wt.% of the silica, the absorbency of the ink is further enhanced. Preferably, the protective layer is formed on an uppermost layer of the photofixable thermal recording medium which is color developed by a heat and recorded, and fixed at the record by emitting a light. |
