PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the noise caused by the impact sound in the fastening of a bolt or the like by mounting a rubber vibration isolator on an arbitrary place of at least one of a hammer, an anvil and a frame supporting the anvil. SOLUTION: An impact wrench 1 comprises a supporting rod 5 for making a hammer 4 and an anvil 2 rotatable, a driving part 7 comprising a motor 6 for driving the hammer 4, a gripping part 8 for holding the impact wrench 1 body and the like. The ring-shaped or cylindrical rubber vibration isolators are respectively mounted on the arbitrary places of the anvil 2, a frame 3 and the hammer 4. The vibration generated when the hammer 4 is spirally rotated and strikes the anvil 2, is absorbed by the rubber vibration isolators 9, 10, 11, whereby the noise can be reduced. Accordingly, the vibration resonated by the striking, is absorbed by the rubber vibration isolators mounted on the components, and the noise can be reduced.
