PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless power consumption in relatively long suspension time or the like, the decline of productivity due to the disturbance of work processes after the suspension time and the useless power consumption due to a sewing machine power source forgotten to be turned off after work is ended even without making an operator perform the on/off operation of the sewing machine power source. SOLUTION: When a power down flag is '1', that is when power down is on set in power saving setting (S20; Yes) and then when an elapsed time mode is set (S21; Yes), power down control is performed (S25) when computed elapsed time is the set elapsed time of power down (S22; Yes). On the other hand, when the elapsed time mode is not set (S21; No) and when the computed elapsed time is not the set elapsed time (S22; No) and then when a time mode is set (S23; Yes), the power down control is performed (S25) when the read time is the set down time (S24; Yes).
