PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper with a simple loading/unloading operation of a hook and loop fastener with respect to a mating fastening area. SOLUTION: An article body 1A having front and rear girth areas 20 and 22 and a crotch area 21 is fitted with hook and loop fasteners 14 for binding the front and rear girth areas 20 and 22 and a holdable tab 16 is disposed at each external end part 14a of the hook and loop fasteners 14 extending outward across the width of the body 1A from the side rim parts of the rear girth area 22 and positioned near the tip of the external end part 14a to be extended outward crossing the external end part 14a being demarcated by the external surface of the external end part 14a.
