PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove a very small quantity of CO contained in a contaminated air in a closed space and realize the miniaturization of a device and the saving of electric power. SOLUTION: This device for removing a very small quantity of carbon monoxide is structured of a filter 12 through which a contaminated air containing a very small quantity of CO, dust, tar, nicotine, acetaldehyde, ammonia and SO2 in a closed space, is made to pass to remove the non-gas component of the contaminated air, a pretreatment adsorbent-filled part 14 for removing aldehyde to which the contaminated air free from the non-gas component is introduced to remove the acetaldehyde and the ammonia, a pretreatment catalyst-filled part 16 for removing a sulfur dioxide to which the contaminated air free from the acetaldehyde and the ammonia is introduced and where the SO2 is removed, a heating part 18 to which the pretreated contaminated air is introduced to heat it at a temperature suited for the oxidation reaction of the CO, and carbon monoxide oxidation catalyst-filled parts 20a, 20b to which the heated contaminated air is introduced and the CO contained in the contaminated air is oxidized to obtain CO2. |
