1,002,713. Liquid level control. I.G.NICHOL. March 3,1964 [April 25,1963], No. 9029/64. Heading G1H. In a device for controlling the liquid level "A" in a container 2, the container 2 communicates with a reservoir 6 and a cavity 8 and the arrangement is such that a rotor 18, driven by a motor 14 and provided with vanes 22, carries liquid, when the liquid level rises above the level "A", around the cavity 8 and deposits such liquid on a lever 33 to deflect such lever 33 downwards to open a switch Fig. 3 (not shown), through a shaft 32 and a lever 36, to stop a motor 26 driving a pump 28 supplying liquid to the container 2. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the liquid is glue and the rotor 18 extends through the top of the casing 5 to apply glue to articles guided thereover. The pump 28 and motor 26 may be replaced by a solenoid-operated valve in a gravity feed pipe line.
|
