PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flange having a strong tensile strength for any direction of circumferential and radial directions with a light weight, a method for manufacturing the flange and a drive shaft having the flange. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an FRP flange comprises the steps of setting ring-like pseudo-isotropic plates 13 to forms 14 disposed at a predetermined gap, winding FRP between the plates 13 by a filament winding(FW) method, and primarily curing it. Thus, a ring of a three-layer structure is molded. Then, the method also comprises the steps of axially deviating the one form 14 by a predetermined width to form a gap between the form 14 and the ring having the three-layer structure, winding the FRP in the gap by the FW method, and primarily curing it. Then, the steps are repeated to manufacture the flange 11 obtained by alternately axially laminating the plate 13 made of the FRP and the ring-like winding 15 molded by the FW method. |
