The invention relates to a drive device which has contra-rotating propellers for driving boats or other maritime objects and which is comprised of two identical or similar drive modules. Said drive modules are each arranged "back-to-back" in a hull (1) which is shaped such that it exhibits hydrodynamically favorable properties and they counterrotate, whereby each module (11) consists of a propeller (2), a propeller shaft (3), an electric motor (4, 5), two supporting bearings (6) and a thrust block (7), or consists of a combination thereof with the corresponding foundations (8). |
