The cover which is slid onto the hand brake lever has longitudinal ribs(11-15) and/or guide slots(16,17) on its inner face(10), and also has elastic elements(18-23) supported in the end section of the inner face. The elastic elements are provided only in the end section of the inner face of the cover lying to the rear in the slide-on direction. The longitudinal ribs in the upper section of the inner face of the cover project along a guide axis and with inwards orientation from the inner face. The height of the ribs is such that their ends lie upon the hand brake lever.
