The centrifugal pump has a deep-drawn pump casing (1) in which the rotation axis (5) of the pump wheel (2) is eccentrically offset from the center line (4) of the casing. There is a partly widening cross section in the cavity between the pump wheel and the casing in direction of flow, beginning in quadrants I and/or II.
