PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nib for a writing instrument having all important four factors as a nib such as ink retentivity, chemical resistance, wear resistance and a sense of writing and no fault in general. SOLUTION: In the nib for a writing instrument comprising pores opened in a longitudinal direction obtained by resin processing synthetic fibers therein, a pen core first forming part 2 and a pen core second forming part 3 formed at a cross-section, first fibers 2a having properties of highly the sense of writing and wear resistance at the time of writing are disposed at the part 2 for requesting the properties of the above characteristics, and second fibers 3a having properties of highly chemical resistance and ink retentivity are disposed at the part 3 for requesting the properties of the above characteristics, and a cross section carrying the functions is constituted of the parts 2 and 3.
