The invention concerns a roof-lining material allowing diffusion, which is hydrophobic and/or has a hydrophobic finish and which includes an at least three-layered composite of thermoplastic non-wovens, at least to a major extent of continuous filaments and at least one inner non-woven layer being made at least to a major extent of melt-blown microfibre. One or more of the layers are optionally compacted individually or together by a pattern-embossing process in which the inner melt-blown microfibre layer is provided with a hydrophobic finish and has a weight per unit area of 10 to 100 g/m<2>, preferably 20 to 60 g/m<2>. In addition, the surface of the iner layer is heat-treated to give a film-like layer with residual porosity, thus providing permeability to water vapour. The invention also concerns a method of manufacturing the material. |
