PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and positively prevent the movement of a rod seal of a power cylinder at the time of evacuating in the prior stage of oil filling in a rack-and-pinion power steering. SOLUTION: When a rod seal 15 tends to move even slightly onto the counter press-in direction Y side from a normal mounted position for abutting on the end 3a of a support cylinder part 7 of a gear housing, the press-in direction rear end 25 of a seal body 20 is completely fitted into a peripheral groove 26 of the inner peripheral surface 3a of a cylinder tube 3 and collides with the groove wall of the peripheral groove 26 to impede the movement of the rod seal 15. In this case, the groove wall on the press-in direction front side of the peripheral groove 26 is inclined to prevent galling from being generated to the seal body 20 when pressed in. |
