PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch the functions of a satellite broadcast receiver every time an antenna section is attached to/detached from the receiver main body in the satellite broadcast receiver where the antenna section is fitted to an antenna fitting section of the receiver main body as an attachable/ detachable unit. SOLUTION: An antenna fitting section 2 of the receiver main body 1 is provided with a switch 9 that is activated through the attachment/detachment motion of an antenna section 3 to switch the functions of the receiver such as switching of the display colors of a backlight of a liquid crystal display section 14 and switching to an FM broadcast. Furthermore, an antenna holder 5 which can be raised/laid down is placed on a base section 4 fitted to the antenna fitting section 2 of the antenna section 3, an antenna element 51 is incorporated into the antenna holder 5, and the antenna section 3 is fitted to the antenna fitting section 2 so that the direction of the antenna holder 5 is selected within a plane orthogonal to the raising-up/laying-down direction of the antenna holder 5.
