PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease memory capacity required for a consecutive shot without compressing image data and to obtain sharp images, without the need for correction or the like of the image data. SOLUTION: Image data, sequentially outputted form a photographing sensor 10, are recorded on an IC memory card 20 via a control CPU 30 by means of overwrite. More specifically, the control CPU 30 allows the IC memory card 20 to record the image data outputted from a photographing sensor 10, reads the image data and sums up the image data to succeeding image data outputted from the photographing sensor 10, allows the IC memory card 20 to record the image data resulting from the summation, reads the image data from the IC memory card 20 and similarly sums up the image data to succeeding image data outputted form the photographing sensor 10.
