PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of a liquid crystal at low temperature and to enhance visual recognizability of the liquid crystal display by providing a liquid crystal and a thermal storage body capable of supplying heat to the liquid crystal. SOLUTION: A thermal storage body 110 capable of supplying heat to a liquid crystal 103 at low temp. is provided. Though the place, where the thermal storage body 110 is installed, is not restricted, if it is possible to supply heat to the liquid crystal 103, it is preferable that the thermal storage body 110 is set at the outside of the a polarizing plate 109 so as not to reduce visual recognizability of the liquid crystal display. The thermal storage body 110 generally stores the heat from the inside of a liquid crystal display device and radiates the heat so as to supply the heat to the liquid crystal 103 at low temp. As the thermal storage body 110, e.g. a material capable of utilizing latent heat can be used, and water is cited as a representative thermal storage material. Specifically the state that water is enclosed in a heat conductive and corrosion resistant stainless steel vessel having an appropriate form can be used as the thermal storage body 110.
