<p>A machine (10) for rotary cutting of continuous synthetic foam sheets which are compressed between two rollers (14, 16), has a dual motor drive (24) capable of matching the surface speed of rotation of different sized rollers, such as a large diameter pattern roller (16) and a small diameter compression roller (14). The dual motor roller drive (24), which includes an upper drive motor (26), a lower drive motor (28) and a gearbox (30), may be selectively engaged for driving each roller (14, 16) with a separate drive motor (28, 26), or for driving both rollers (14, 16) with a singel motor (28) through a sliding gear assembly (65) contained in gearbox (30).</p> |
