PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route setting device capable of setting an appropriate course without the need for cost for use. SOLUTION: A recommended route from a starting point to a goal point is computed (step SC4). Next, it is determined whether any pre-stored avoidance point is included in the computed recommended route or not (step SC5). In the case that no avoidance point is included, the computed recommended route is displayed (step SC12). In the case where any avoidance point is included in the recommended route, it is determined whether the acquired present date and present time are within an avoidance period and avoidance time pre-stored in memory (step SC7 and SC8). In neither case, the recommended route is displayed (step SC12). In the case where any avoidance point is included in the recommended route or in the case that the present point in time point is within the avoidance period and the avoidance time, another recommended route is computed in a step SC13. |
