PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the liquid crystal display device where occurrence of crosstalk due to rewrite display can be prevented in advance in the case of applying rewrite display to a display image of a liquid crystal display means such as a liquid crystal panel in time division in response to line-sequential scanning. SOLUTION: Both galvano mirrors 90, 100 are used to emit each light from both light sources through a horizontal diffusion plate 110 and a linear Fresnel lens 120 as both lighting lights with a phase difference by a half period at a period twice a prescribed rewrite period of left eye image data and right eye image data so as to light a rewrite area and a remaining area of a display image due to line-sequential scanning of a display image on a display screen of a liquid crystal panel 130 in following to a change in the rewrite area due to line-sequential scanning respectively via both convex lenses 70, 80 and both apertures.
