PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a plurality of main scanning synchronism signals by a small sized circuit by a method wherein the main scanning synchronism signal is provided by each of a plurality of laser beams and the correspondence of the main scanning synchronism signals with the laser beams can be readily understood. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a laser beam printer that comprises a photosensitive body 2, a plurality of laser beam sources 19, 20, 21 for emitting laser beams which are to be collected to different positions on the photosensitive body 2 in a sub-scanning direction, a main scanning means 4 for scanning the laser beams in the main scanning direction, a laser beam detecting means 22 for detecting each of the laser beams and a synchronized signal generating means for generating a synchronized signal corresponding to each of the laser beams in accordance with the output of the detecting means 22. A pulse time width of the synchronized signal is varied corresponding to each of the laser beams. |
