PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing ability between a battery container and a sealing plate to improve capacity maintenance property by forming the sealing plate for sealing an opening of the battery container storing a generating element impregnating nonaqueous electrolyte from polymer material. SOLUTION: This battery is molded according to an opening of a battery container 101 such as metal plates for storing an electrode body 102 in which nonaqueous electrolyte is impregnated in a winding body of a positive plate, a separator, and a negative plate, and preferably, a pin-shaped electrode terminal 104 is penetrated into a central part of a sealing plate 103 crimped at an opening edge. As the sealing plate 103, polyimide, polyamide, fluororesin, polysilicon, or their mixture is preferable, and a coating formed on a surface in a moderate reaction with the nonaqueous electrolyte covers a fine recessed part in the surface of the battery container 101. The sealing plate 103 is formed from metal, and may have high molecular gasket, sheet, or coating. An inner-pressure- rise preventing valve is provided with a recoverable valve that can recover a sealing state after an operation and an un-recoverable valve that cannot recover in series.
