PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advance a reformation of an oxide film due to an oxycarboxylic acid to restore defects even if defects of a dielectric oxide film occur due to water and chlorine in the vicinity of an anode lead in an interior of a capacitor by a method wherein this capacitor is composed of a solution and a solute, and also is arranged with the oxycarboxylic acid of a specified amount. SOLUTION: This aluminum electrolytic capacitor is composed of a solvent and a solute, and also an oxycarboxylic acid of 0.1 wt.% or more is annexed thereto to prepare an aluminum electrolytic capacitor driving electrolyte, and it is constituted using this aluminum electrolytic capacitor driving electrolyte. The oxycarboxylic acid has characteristics of impeding a pitting reaction of chloric ions and aluminum by complex formation with aluminum, and even when the aluminum electrolytic capacitor is used for a long time at high temperatures and at high humidities, the occurrence of anode lead erosion and disconnection is eliminated. As an embodiment of the oxycarboxylic acid, there are a salicyl acid, a gentisic acid,β-resorcin acid,γ-resorcin acid, etc.
