PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detent mechanism between switch operations in order to impart feedback relative to a switch position to a user. SOLUTION: A dual in-line switch device selects several switch positions. More specifically, a housing 12 including sliding parts 16 is formed. A wire armature 20 is mounted to each of the sliding parts 16. A line of terminals are so founded in the housing 12 that the wire armatures 20 are arranged between terminals and the sliding parts 16. When the sliding part 16 moves, the wire armature 20 is operated and thereby, electrical connection between the terminals can be established and the connection can be cut off. The wire armature 20 has a vertical part and a wire detent part, and the terminal has a detent cavity. The terminals are formed at an interval, and slots are partitioned between the terminals. The wire detent parts, the detent cavities and the slots perform secure and mechanical stopping for respective switch positions.
